Makaveli presents Tupac Shakur through a contemporary portrait that captures the presence, individuality and cultural significance of one of hip hop's most influential figures.
Set against a warm neutral backdrop, soft blue tones and restrained detailing give the composition a quieter character while retaining the unmistakable attitude of its subject. The result is a considered interpretation of an artist whose influence extended far beyond music into style, identity and popular culture.
Part of the Pop Culture collection, Makaveli explores the personalities and cultural figures whose image and influence continue to resonate across generations.
